Tiger Tailgating

Reagan and Wil got to spend time with us for our tailgating before the Colorado game. Since Jeani was going to watch the kids she just left the tailgate with them when they were ready to go. We had a lot of fun and got to see Olivia, Logan and Aunt Carla along with our usual tailgating group.

Dress Up

Reagan was trying on the chicken suite one last time before we gave it back to Jami for Autumn to play with. It was fun! Reagan and Wil also "got married" and we had fun dressing up for that.

MU Tiger Volleyball

We had fun going to the MU vs NU volleyball match...too bad they beat us in 3 straight sets, but we still had fun (and got to see Truman)!

SWPS Fall Festival

Here are few pictures from the fall festival...there was a bounce house, bake sale, cupcake walk, train, and other games. Both Reagan and Wil had a great time.
Both kids got to pose with Miss Garrett and be the face of Snowball :)

Channeling my inner Bakerella

If you have never checked out the Bakerella blog site, I urge you to. There is a link to her blog page ont he right-hand side of the page. She does the cutest cake pops ever...what a labor of love they are! I decided I would try them for Reagan's fall festival at her preschool. I made orange pumpkins and red, yellow and green apple cake pops. I started with the orange and worked my way through, green, yellow and then red. I think you can tell by my pictures that my dipping technique improved (as did my refreezing after putting the stick in...this was missed with the pumpkins which is why we had some causualities there). Enjoy!

Roots Blues n BBQ 10K

So it has been over 10 years since I have participated in a race, so I was so happy to have Patti to run with in this 10K.

I started training 9 weeks out and thought if I managed a 10 - 10.5 min mile pace I would be happy (Patti was shooting for 11 -11.5 pace). We were so happy to end up with paces below our expectations! I managed a 9.49 pace and finished in a time of 1.00.49!
Next year my goal will be to do the 1/2 marathon and I hope to run a few other races between now and then!

Soup to Share

Reagan finally got to make her soup to share project from her Highlights High Five magazine.

The fall theme one she took for show and tell and gave to her teacher as a gift and the winter theme one we put in her class's fall festival "snow day" basket at school. I used my cricut and my new Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for the cards on the jars...love it!

Play and Picnic at Stephen's Lake Park

We had a great time playing, picnicing and then taking a stroll around the lake. Wil got to ride in the wagon and Reagan rode her bike.

Working at the Car Wash

Reagan helped Shane with washing his truck and then she decided to wash her bike and trike! You can see how tired she got :)

Messy Macaroni

Wil was having a great time with his macaroni...he somehow managed to get it stuck to his forhead and Reagan was cracking up about it :)

Aunt Melanie's Pool Party

So better late than never. The pool party may have been in August, but at least I am getting something posted. These are pretty clear expect maybe the ones of papa with Wil's float acting as a hat for sun shade :)

Funny Face

We made a face in Reagan's giant pancake, just like (sorta) the one from her High Five magazine. Too bad we had to substitute some cut up pink marshmallows for the banana smile :)

Blackberry Picking...yummy!

We had a fun time picking blackberries with the Schroeders. Reagan was a pro from her raspberry picking experience 2 yrs ago and we picked just over 4 lbs in the heat in about 45 mins...not too shabby.

I don't think Wil ate a single berry but he sure did squish a lot of them and get filthy in the process LOL!

PAT Messy Night 9/28

OK, so I know I have missed some things and will make it back to play catch-up once again, but I wanted to post some pictures from messy night that was put on my Parents as Teachers. We were not expecting much from Reagan since she doesn't like the idea of getting messy or having work with glue or paint that take time to dry (she is getting better about it, but still not there yet). Wil had a fun time with bubbles, stringing pasta on pipe cleaners and they both had fun sidewalk chalking and washing babies.

We also ran into Miranda and Patrick with Philip and Joseph getting a taste of their first messy night and we saw Heather and Bob with all 3 kiddos in tow!
