Had a success with strawberry cake and strawberry icing red heart shaped cake pops. Didn't have any of them crack this time and all of them stayed on the sticks...success!
I set my mini heart Pampered Chef cookie cutter on the tray and packed the cake mixture into it and then pressed it out onto the sheet. I only used 1/2 my cake and had too much icing in it so it was very sticky...had to add more cake, but now after tastin it, I should have added even more cake to the mix - although none of them fell off their sticks!

Those came out great!! Did you use the cut outs as molds, or pack and cut down? (does that make sense?)
